Penn Valley Pipes & Tobacco Company

Welcome to Penn Valley Pipes

2011 marks the 150th anniversary of the start of the Civil War.
If you are a reenactor, a history buff, antique collector, or just want to own a nifty piece of the past, you will want to get these Pamplin clay bowls. Each comes with a hard reed stem. Placeholder Image

Civil War Era Clay Bowls

Civil War era clay bowls. The same or similar to clay pipes used during the Civil War. These bowls were fired in the early part of the 20th century and are the last ones made from the original molds.

Styles vary as shown. We will try to vary the styles in your order when you purchase more than one, but there are only a few bowls with the stripes. Your order may consist soley of the dotted bowls, which actually seem to work better with the reed stems that we have.

Please Note: We NOW HAVE stems for these pipes! One reed stem will ship with each pipe bowl ordered.
You can now purchase stems as a separate item. Cleck here for details.

Please spend a few minutes browsing our site. We hope you enjoy your stay and if you are looking for something that you don't see, please let us know. Ken and I will do what we can, or at least one of us will while the other one stands around looking smug with a pipe in his mug.

Colonial Era Clay Pipe

This is the personal version of the long tavern pipe shown here. This pipe was commonly used in the mid to late 18th century. It is approximately 6 1/2" long. The tip is not glazed, but wetting the end before smoking will help keep your lips from sticking to the pipe. This item comes nicely boxed.

We recommend free replacement insurance. If you pipe arrives broken we will replace it at no cost.
