Colonial style clay pipe

Colonial style clay pipe

This is the personal version of the tavern pipe shown below. This pipe was commonly used in the mid to late 18th century. It is approximately 6 1/2" long. The tip is not glazed, but wetting the end before smoking will help keep your lips from sticking to the pipe.

Long Clay Tavern Pipe

These pipes are typical of those commonly used in colonial times. Pipes were made available to inn and tavern patrons who would smoke a bowl and break off some of the end for next smoker, hence the original length of the pipe. These pipes are around 16" long and are individually boxed.
We no longer offer the wooden holder.
